Project Hawai’i Inc was designed to run by the dedicated volunteers to help the homeless (unsheltered) children escape their cycle of poverty.
We offer year round programs that help them to gain self-esteem and learn life and social skills to succeed in School.
We provide several year round programs and monthly outreach that helps to fulfill our mission.
Monthly outreach provides homeless children with food, hygiene and emergency support. Our programs include outreach to homeless teens living on the streets, getting them back in school and into sports.
We have a jr. leader and teen mentoring program that allows the teens to learn the proper life skills to succeed and learn the importance of staying in school.
Our athletic team helps to provide sports equipment and uniforms, p.e. support needs and enrollment costs.
We also have a summer educational program for children 3-7 that is designed to have the children ready for school.
Our annual events included all holidays and spring break support, activities, parties, etc.
On average we provide services to appropriate 1,500 children per year.
Our program works with first to work moms and help them get ready for the workforce. We also have an intern program for college students to help them with their educational success.
Since we are solely supported by public donations, our volunteers are able to implement programs as the needs arise.
