Retired Educator, who spent over twenty years in Elementary education. Founder and CEO of a Non-profit, Vision for Education, Small Group Leader.
about
For over twenty years I’ve taught young children to read and write in public schools. It has been my greatest challenge and from which I’ve grown the most and gained leadership experience, and extensive experience with strategic planning. My degree (and interest) is in Guidance/Counseling and Creative drama which is the driving force behind this project.
I've worked for Eckerd Family and Youth Alternative as a  Counselor/Teacher in Brooksville, FL Where I taught basic Reading and Mathematics to campers and supervised youth aged 10-17 in an outdoor residential/counseling facility. In addition, I  trained incoming chiefs and conducted Reality Therapy sessions with campers and chiefs and lastly utilized experimental educational techniques.
As a Pinellas County Public Schools Title I Literacy Success Teaching Partner in St. Petersburg, FL., I conducted small reading groups for students K-5, used Reader’s Theater to promote literacy development. Assessed student reading level, planned appropriate lesson to improve scores on FCAT state wide tests.
